Simple pleasure
One of my favorite feelings is realizing that I don’t have to set an alarm for the morning. It doesn’t happen enough.

Yahoo & tumblr
I just reblogged a few things about the possible yahoo! tumblr deal.  I guess I’d rather see yahoo! buy tumblr than twitter or facebook.  Yahoo! is a little more likely to leave it alone rather than killing it off slowly…I’m still waiting for the next great tweetdeck to come out. Speaking of…if yahoo! really wanted to be relevant, they would develop a new power tweetdeck...

Yahoo wants to buy Tumblr. Will Facebook swoop in... →
tonyburgess: Yahoo wants to buy Tumblr. We hear Facebook might spoil the party. But the question is: is Tumblr the fountain of youth that Yahoo badly needs or will this be case of a pathetic old-middle aged guy hanging with youngsters trying to be hip.

The Blog of Tony "T-Bird" Burgess: Yahoo Wants... →
tonyburgess: Reports across the Web say that Yahoo wants to buy Tumblr. Friends this is a serious thing. Yahoo had a blogging platform called 360 a number of years ago but shut it down for business reasons. It bought Geocities the Web page building platform just to shut it down a few years ago. If you…

So you think you can dance
Even when I wasn’t dancing, I enjoyed this show. Now that I am dancing again, it’s even more fun to watch.

Mosquitoes
olivertwisted: Those fuckers are out in full force this year. Between our trip to the zoo and that tailgating outing on the edge of the woods, I am now covered in mosquito bites. Having not gotten seriously bitten in a good three years or so, I’ve forgotten how annoying these things can be. I’d pay good money for a tub full of calamine lotion right now. I have a mosquito bite square on the...

Any tips for managing your managers?  My uncle is constantly looking for praise when he does his job, but is non responsive when I do mine, ie keeping up with his scheduled follow ups and sales leads.

MyOffice
My uncle just e-mailed me to tell me that he had carbon copied me on an e-mail. Yes. That just happened. What’s worse is that the e-mail I was copied on was in regards to action on a customer’s account. He has e-mailed me twice, but hasn’t notified the customer.  And in this specific case, I’m not able to do it for him, if that’s what he’s implying. Classic.

open areas: On raising a millennial  →
openareas: I don’t apologize for raising a stereotypical millennial, a much as the Time Magazine cover - and hundreds of other articles like it - makes them out to be the worst thing in existence. I raised my daughter to think independently, to follow her heart and to find her own place in this world. I… Good points.

LifeKraze: Attitude of Gratitude (Cyrano Series) →
lifekraze: I had about three hours’ sleep last night. I know that even if I can go home later for a nap, my bedroom will be flooded with sunlight that, without a blind on the floor-to-ceiling sliders, will have turned that room into a terrarium. Even without the blind that tumbled down last night and the…
